Born and raised in Yuba City, CA, a small town about an hour outside of California's capitol, Sam discovered his love for photography at the age of 17 and has been capturing life's moments ever since.
To Sam, making pictures is a means of documenting life as he experiences it, and it allows him to capture the beauty in the mundane. He is passionate about street photography and finds inspiration in his friends and family, especially his wife Toni - his beloved muse. His personal work encompasses street photography, landscapes, and intimate portraiture that explores the complexity of his relationships with those around him.
In addition to his personal projects, Sam has also worked commercially with clients including EyeBuyDirect, Farris Bad Hotel, Grand Hotel Oslo, Miir, Stutterheim, Visit Brussels, and Visit Oslo. He has also collaborated with artists such as Brolly, Daniel Caesar, and Noah Gundersen.
He is currently based in Sacramento, CA, living and working out of an artist community known as the Warehouse Artist Lofts.
